Maintenance Engineer

On-Call Requirement:
You will be required to participate in an on-site weekend cover rota (1 in 5), working from Friday 15:30 to Sunday 15:30. During this period, you must remain within a 10-minute radius of the hatchery. A weekend premium of £25 per night will be paid for Friday and Saturday, in addition to time-and-a-half pay for any hours actually worked.
There is no requirement to provide weekend cover during the first two months of employment, and the premium payment will only apply once you commence participation in the rota.
The frequency and arrangement of on-site cover may be reviewed in line with business needs. The company reserves the right to adjust the rota to ensure adequate operational coverage.
We are looking for a strong team player with a high regard for health, safety, and poultry welfare to maintain the hatchery machinery and associated equipment on a daily basis. This includes equipment such as setting and hatching machines, ventilation systems, and ongoing improvement projects.
This is a hands-on role involving manual processes, including lifting equipment up to 25 kg. You will be expected to work independently within farm buildings.
