Working Hours
Monday-Saturday 06:00-16:00 on a 6 week rotation pattern
About the role
As a Hatchery Operative within the Chick Process team, you will play an important role in supporting the hatchery's day-to-day operations. Your work will help ensure chicks are processed efficiently and to the highest welfare standards, contributing to the success of the wider business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Grading and handling chicks with care and attention to detail
- Lifting, stacking, and preparing chick boxes for dispatch
- Moving chick stacks safely to the dispatch area
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene through the cleaning and sanitisation of work areas and equipment at the end of each shift
What We're Looking For
We're looking for motivated individuals who can work effectively as part of a team and take pride in maintaining high standards.
Essential skills and attributes:
- Good level of English and basic numeracy skills
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- A flexible and positive approach to tasks and responsibilities
Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
